- Are courses needed for adult education licensure offered?
Yes, these courses will still be offered as part of the online program.

- Are courses available to non-degree seeking students?
Non-degree seeking students may enroll in courses, but degree-seeking students have priority enrollment.
- May hours from another institution be transferred into the M.Ed. program?
The University of Arkansas will permit a student to transfer six hours of graduate credit from an accredited graduate school in the United States, provided that the grades are "B" or better and the subjects acceptable to the department concerned, as a part of the master's program. If courses are transferred, they must fall within the six years allowed for the completion of all requirements for the degree.
- What are the computer hardware requirements for online courses? Skill requirements?

- Where can I get a copy of the Graduate Catalog?

Students can also request a graduate catalog (in the form of a CD or in paperback) from the Graduate School by calling (479) 575-6246.
- Where can students find course descriptions?
Course descriptions can be found in the Graduate Catalog.
Descriptions of Adult Education (ADED), Vocational Education (VOED), and Vocational and Adult Education (VAED) courses can be found under their respective headings. Course descriptions are also available by clicking on this link.
- What will the cost of the entire program be?
Due to the possibility of tuition increases, it is difficult to say with any degree of certainty what the cost of the entire program will be. In order to find out what the cost per credit hour will be for the upcoming semester, go the Division of Continuing Education's Web site at: http://www.uacted.uark.edu/CreditStudies/csOffCampus/enrollmentandservices.htm
- How do students get textbooks?
To obtain textbooks, students must order them through the University Bookstore at (479) 575-3010 or online at: http://www.uark.edu/ua/bookstor/. Students must provide the course name and number (ex. VOED 1013 Sec 1), a street address (the bookstore will not ship to a P.O. Box), and a credit card number. Textbooks typically ship within 3 business days.
- Is thesis an option?
There is no thesis required in this program.
- Can students be admitted for the spring semester?
Yes, the department will accept new admits for the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
- Is there a discount for students 60 years of age and older?
Yes, on a space-available basis.
- What is the Comprehensive Examination?
In addition to completing other requirements, the candidate for a master's degree must take a comprehensive examination. The exam is normally scheduled during a student's last semester of degree work, providing the student has completed a minimum of 27 hours.
- How do I determine the courses to take?
When you are admitted to the program, you will be assigned an advisor who is a faculty member in the Department of Rehabilitation, Human Resources, and Communication Disorders. You should work closely with that advisor to structure and plan your program of study.
- This semester I'm going to register for EDFD 5013 Research in Education. What can I expect?
