Professional Biography:

Kit Brooks teaches Adult Education/Human Resource Development (HRD) at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Her experiences as an external consultant has influenced her teaching philosophy and guides her research agenda which focuses on bridging the gap between theory and practice in HRD and leadership development. In addition to faculty responsibilities, she facilitates professional development services for clients of the Sam M. Walton College of Business Center for Management and Executive Development. Her consulting and research has included several international assignments. She recently she spent a month in Morocco conducting a needs assessment for a proposed women’s health clinic and co-facilitated a leadership development program in Tunisia. Dr. Brooks is currently working with a team of professionals to provide leadership development to an international non-profit organization at their various locations across the globe. She has published practitioner-relevant cases in Training and Development’s In Action Series as well as in various scholarly journals.
